Blastocyst rate was calculated considering the 40 vitrified embryos.
40 Blastocysts were vitrified, stored in N2 and thawed. Twenty-nine of them (72.5%) presented re-expansion and progress in post thawing development.
The recipient heifers were reused several times, respecting a minimum interval of one month between successive synchronizations.
Pregnancy detection were made between 30 and 45 days after embryo anovulation. One pregnancy was absorbed between 30 and 60 days of gestation. One pregnancy produced a spontaneous abortion in the 7th month of gestation.
